Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to frequently asked questions about Motiontography's photography services.

Makeup and Styling

1. Do you provide on-site makeup artists or include hair and makeup in the photo shoot?

At Motiontography, hair and makeup services are not included in our photography packages. However, you’re welcome to bring your own makeup artist or hairstylist. If you’d like them to be present for touchups during your session (e.g., between outfit changes), that’s perfectly fine! Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. Please keep in mind that any preparation or touchup time will be part of your scheduled session duration. To make the most of your time, we recommend having your hair and makeup done before arriving at the studio.

Props and Outfits

2. Are there props available at your studio?

Yes, we have a variety of props and furniture available at the studio. To get an idea of what’s available, we recommend browsing through our portfolio for the type of photo shoot you’re planning. Many of the props and decor featured in the images are still in the studio. You can also visit The Studio page for photos of the current setup. If you have specific prop requests, feel free to reach out in advance or bring your own to personalize your session.

3. How many outfits can I bring for my photo session?

The number of outfits you can bring depends on the package you choose. Each package includes specific details about the number of outfits allowed. For example, some portrait or maternity packages may allow multiple outfit changes, while family sessions might have different guidelines.

To find the most accurate information, please refer to the package details on our Booking Page . If you're unsure or have special requests, feel free to reach out, and we'll be happy to guide you!

Scheduling and Rescheduling

8. How long do photo sessions last, and can I extend the session time?

The duration of each photo session depends on the package you select, with options of up to one, two, or three hours. These time frames are provided as guidelines and are designed to ensure there’s enough time to handle any unexpected events, such as wardrobe adjustments, makeup touchups, or other preparations. Please note that while your session may not always require the full allotted time, it will not exceed the scheduled duration to accommodate other clients. If time allows and there is no appointment immediately following your session, you may have the option to purchase additional time at $50 per hour.

9. What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are refundable if the cancellation is made at least 3 days prior to the shoot date. We understand that life happens, so another option is to reschedule your photo session.

10. What if I need to reschedule my photo session?

If you need to reschedule your photo session, please contact us as soon as possible. To reschedule, it has to be before three days of your shoot date.

Photo Delivery

11. What is the turnaround time for delivering images to clients?

Proof images are typically delivered within 24 hours (same or next day). Edited photos are usually delivered within five days after the client selects the images they would like edited. For packages that include composite photography, please note that creating composite images may take longer than the standard five-day timeframe due to the additional work involved. However, we strive to deliver all other edited photos within the usual timeframe.

12. Can I request additional edits at a later time?

Yes, images are kept on the server for up to one year, then they are automatically deleted. You can request more edits anytime within that timeframe.

13. What are raw images?

Raw images are unedited, straight-out-of-the-camera photos without retouching.
